The Save UNAA Cause

There is a huge crisis in the leadership of the Ugandan North American Association - UNAA threatening the existence of the now 25 year organization. The Council 8 believes in UNAA institutions to do their work, the executive does not unless things are in their favor.

The executive interprets the constituion on their own, the Council 8 lets the Board Of Trustees (BOT), the organ responsible for that to do its job regardles of the outcome. The Council 8 believes that the BOT is responsible for the oversight of the executive and the executive appears not to.

So far, nobody has denied that the Executive has violated the constitution a number times.

1-Allowing a friend to unconstitutionally participate in Council business

2-Executive voting for the Council through illegal tie-votes where there are no ties or quorum

3-Choosing and signing the hotel contract without constitutional Council approval

4-Imposing illegal directors on UNAA members

5-Executive overreach in the running of Council business etc

The organization is now divided and members really will have to show their support for the constitution, the organization and its institutions to prevent their organization from becoming a privatized entity with a custom tailored constitution that serves a few. All of us must stand up for this just cause. You can donate your time, advise or chip in to facilitate sensitizing the community about this deep problem in UNAA today.
